The waitlist is at the host stand only. We don’t have call-ahead seating or an online waitlist. Put your name in when you arrive and we’ll text you when your table is close. Wait times change minute to minute, so on Bears Sundays and weekend nights, the earlier the better.
Yes. You can order takeout at the host stand, or call (630) 999-8988 and the host will take your order. Most orders are ready in 15 to 30 minutes depending on size. We don’t offer delivery yet.
We’re open Monday to Wednesday 11 am to 11 pm, Thursday 11 am to midnight, Friday 11 am to 2 am, Saturday 10 am to 2 am, and Sunday 10 am to 10 pm. Brunch is Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm. The kitchen closes at 10 pm every night except Sunday, when it closes at 9:30 pm.
If it’s on TV, we’ll have it on. Along with local and national channels, we carry NFL Sunday Ticket, NFL RedZone, Peacock, NBA TV, Big Ten Network, Marquee and NBC Sports Chicago (not ESPN+). Big games get sound on our 22-foot LED wall. We also show UFC fights and select boxing matches. Tell the host which game you’re there for and they’ll find you the best view.
Use our packages page. It covers birthday parties, Team HQ youth team packages, Bears Season Tables and fantasy draft nights (groups of 10 or more, Sunday through Thursday after 7 pm), and each one has a quick form to lock in your date. For birthdays, your group gets its own zone, you pick from ten themes, and the birthday guest’s name goes up on the 22-foot screen. Book two to three weeks out.
We have semi-private spaces that fit groups of up to 200 for birthday parties, team parties and private events. Pricing depends on the package and group size. Start on our packages page, which has a quick form to request your date.
Bears Season Tables are the only reserved seats on game day at Simple EJ’s: your table, with your name on it, for every Bears game. They’re on a waitlist right now, which you can join on our packages page. Everyone else is walk-in, so come early on Sundays.
Kids under 12 eat free Monday through Friday from 4 to 6 pm with Charlie’s Crew, our family membership. It’s $24.99 a month (plus $12.99 for each additional kid) and also includes two Crew-only events a year and two personalized gifts a year worth at least $25 each. Yes. All ages are welcome until 8 pm, with a kids menu, high chairs and booster seats. After 8 pm, guests must be 21 or older. You’ll need a valid ID to order a drink.
Yes. We have a full gluten-free menu, and gluten-free items are cooked in a separate fryer. Tell your server about any allergy and the kitchen will walk you through safe options. Good to know: our fries are cooked in beef tallow, the House Dr. Pepper and Bacon BBQ sauce contains bacon, and the Warm Brownie Sundae has peanut butter icing.
Yes. Try Saucy AF, crispy falafel tossed in any of our signature sauces, or swap a Beyond patty onto any Smash Burger. Mac and Cheesetopia, the giant Bavarian pretzel and the strawberry and goat cheese salad are good vegetarian picks. Some buns and sauces contain dairy or egg, and the fries are cooked in beef tallow, so tell your server if you’re vegan.
Yes. Brunch is Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm, and the full regular menu is available alongside the brunch favorites. Bottomless mimosas have a 2-hour limit and stop at 2 pm, and there’s a build-your-own Bloody Mary bar with American Mary mixes. Must be 21 with a valid ID. Brunch is walk-in only.
We don’t run a traditional happy hour. We keep prices fair every hour we’re open. Regulars save with the Founders Club, which includes your second drink on every visit.
Our patio isn’t open yet, but it’s coming soon, and dogs will be welcome out there once it opens. Inside the restaurant, only service animals are allowed. When the weather’s nice, we open the garage doors.
Simple EJ’s Kitchen & Tap is at 300 North Kirk Road, Suite 300A, in Fox Haven Square in St. Charles, near Kirk Road and Division Street. There’s plenty of free parking in Fox Haven Square, steps from the front door. On game days and weekend nights, allow a few extra minutes to park and put your name in with the host.

Start with the scratch-made Smash Burger: a custom beef blend seared crispy with American cheese, Coca-Cola onions, house pickles and Simple Sauce on a butter-toasted brioche bun. The wings come with six sauces, from Classic Buffalo to Calabrian Chili Chimichurri. To share, get the 24-ounce Tomahawk Pork Chop, cherrywood smoked and finished over open flame.
Yes. We have Dartsee interactive dart boards in Dart Lane with automatic scoring for $15 per half hour, first come, first served. Ask the host to seat you in Dart Lane. We don’t have pool tables, Golden Tee or arcade games.
